New Partners world

Following market leaders INTEL & AMD now a new player in the market.

According to recent Gartner figures, Renesas is the seventh biggest semiconductor vendor in the world and NEC Electronics is the tenth. Today they announced a merger which will create the third largest semiconductor vendor behind only Intel and Samsung.

Both companies are strong in the field of System-on-Chips (SoCs), which are mini computers found embedded in a wide variety of electronic devices.

Telefonica & Vodafone

Telefónica and Vodafone announced today an agreement that will lead to the sharing of mobile network assets in the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Germany. This is the first time we have seen two operator groups attempt to establish network-sharing agreements beyond a single national border.
