European data prices as low as one  penny per MB

A UK based Mobile Network Operator in collaboration with European Reseller announced today that they have completed a deal which provides incredibly low mobile data prices around the world.

The agreement with a new donor IMSI supplier gives us access to wholesale roaming data prices at a fraction of the current EU regulated wholesale caps. Not limited to the EU, the prices on key destinations such as Australia, USA, New Zealand, Russia and Turkey are also drastically reduced. We now plan to offer these wholesale prices to our white label partners who can resell to their subscribers at a substantial profit. The company also offer wholesale data bundles, something that previous costs did not allow. The bundles are not limited to the EU, but include many other countries. The service can be provided as data only or one that also supports full voice and SMS. This product is based on the very cheap pricing.

6.3% Year-on-Year Growth Server Vendor Results in Revenue $3 Billion

According to IDC’s  EMEA Server Tracker the first quarter of 2015 the EMEA server market continued the positive Year-on-Year growth seen throughout 2014, to report $3 billion in vendor revenue and 557,182 units shipped, for Year-on-Year  growth of 6.3% and 3.5% respectively.

The EMEA market has now shown positive Year-on-Year  unit growth (3.5%) for the fourth consecutive quarter, though this is slightly slower than the growth seen in vendor revenue (6.3%), as vendor ASPs continue to increase as the EMEA market moves toward richer configurations. Larger U.S.-based European vendors in Q1 2015 have also continued to feel the impact of the fluctuating Euro.

Russia Invite Greece to BRICS New Development Bank

In a move that will undoubtedly concern the EU, Russia has invited Greece to join the BRICS New Development Bank, a multilateral initiative that was set up July last year.

Alex Tsipras, the country’s Prime Minister, described the invitation as unexpected after receiving a phone call from Russian finance Minister Sergey Storchak on Monday, but thanked Russia and said the country would consider the proposition fully before making a decision.

Greece said in a statement that, “(Tsiparas) will have a chance to discuss the invitation with the other BRICS leaders during the 2015 International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg”

Putin-brics leaders bank

Headquartered in Shanghai, the £100 million dollar multilateral organisation was set up to rival The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund after both organisations failed to implement reforms to their voting systems. Currently the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) are under represented in both institutions, due to outdated voting systems which have not accounted for their recent GDP growth and burgeoning economic clout.
