Toshiba Computer Systems, a division of Toshiba Europe GmbH, today introduced three new models to its Tecra range of laptops: the desktop replacement, Tecra

These stylish yet functional laptops feature a black textured surface with contrasting chrome details. They are targeted at small and medium sized businesses (SMB) and large enterprises looking for a powerful, reliable and easy-to-use laptop platform that perfectly fits into their IT infrastructure. The new models will be available during the first quarter of 2010 throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.

"To get the most out of their computer infrastructure, businesses of all sizes need to have a consistent and stable platform with an optimised cost performance ratio," says Thomas Teckentrup,General Manager,Toshiba Computer Systems Division Europe.

"This is exactly what our highly reliable and easy-to-use Tecra product range offers." Based on the same chasis as the satellite models, offering a complete suite of tools for the business user.

Designed with different usage scenarios in mind Toshiba's new 15.6'' (39.6 cm) Tecra A11 is ideal for full performance business computing, making it an ideal desktop replacement. For those who need more sophisticated high-performing graphics, Toshiba now offers the 15.6'' Tecra S11, featuring an external graphics processing unit. The third newcomer, the 14'' (35.6 cm) Tecra M11, is targeted at business travellers who want to regularly use their laptop both within and outside their office but don’t want to compromise on performance. According to a Toshiba survey[1] 86% of the frequent travellers in SMBs say that they are heavy laptop users, often running demanding applications, working with large spreadsheets
or databases, and creating sophisticated presentations.
