New Middle Eastern distributors
ATS assigned as new Pentax Technologies Europe distributor for the Middle East
In order to expand its business in the Middle East, Pentax Technologies Europe has assigned a new distributor for this region, Applied Technologies Services LTD. ATS and Pentax Technologies Europe will cooperate to comply with the growing market demand in these regions for mobile printing and scanning solutions.
ATS was founded in 1977 by CEO Yori Reiss and is a high tech company that represents foreign vendors of hardware and software solutions in Israel. For 12 years now, they specialize in the import and distribution of high tech solutions, such as rugged computing solutions.
Sales & Marketing Manager, Dror Reiss, had been looking for a reliable mobile rugged solutions partner until he came across Pentax Technologies Europe. The compact, rugged and reliable mobile Pentax printer and scanner turned out to be a perfect fit for his demanding customers.
A mobile solution to rely on at all times
“Our customers are often official instances who are looking for a portable solution as an in-vehicle application or administrative facilitator for their “road warriors”, explains Mr. Reiss. As on-the-road police officers and military patrols are modernizing administrative procedures, they have discovered the mobile office tools, such as portable printers and scanners. Because of the harsh circumstances they often operate in, they need to be able to rely on their equipment. “It became quickly clear to us that Pentax Technologies Europe does not only provide state-of-the-art, rugged and reliable products, but also an efficient and excellent level of support and service. This is very important to us and our customers. ATS wants to be a supplier customers can confide in. That is where ATS and Pentax Technologies Europe connect well.”
Satisfied users and enthusiastic teams
Mid 2007 a new law came into force, obliging bank card companies to have a copy of the ID of the subscribing owners of new businesses. When sales people of the VISA credit card company in Israel were on the road enrolling new subscribers, they needed a mobile solution to facilitate the ID print-out process. They turned to ATS and promptly ordered 45 Pentax PocketJet 3/3 Plus mobile printers. After a trial period, VISA was so impressed with the effectiveness and reliability of the mobile printers; they placed a new order of 45 mobile scanners for the mobile sales team.
Mr. Reiss is convinced the cooperation with Pentax will boom in the Middle Eastern mobility market: “I see a very high potential for these products in the market. We constantly receive requests from sales forces, service technicians and on-the-road managers, all looking for a means to facilitate their mobile office. I’m even hiring a new sales manager to keep up with the requests.”
Mr. Martin Mogendorff, Business Unit Manager at Pentax Technologies Europe, is confident about the strength of the cooperation: “We have been a pioneer in providing the industry with mobile printing and scanning solutions worldwide, and are excited to see how our products will perform in this market. We’re also confident about the working relationship with Mr. Reiss and his team; their enthusiasm will certainly boost the mobile dynamics in the Middle East.”
