Overland Storage appoints David Spate sales director Northern EMEA region
In his new role Spate will be responsible for driving revenue and managing the sales force across the, Nordics, UK and South Africa.
Spate has over 15 years experience of building pan-European sales and marketing organisations in the high-tech space. Before joining Overland, he was vice president for EMEA at Yosemite Technologies, where he was instrumental in developing and implementing a new sales strategy across the territory. He also grew the European channel business by 35 per cent in the first year, signing new partners and winning significant end user deals.
Other previous roles include European sales director at global IT distributors Bell Microproducts and vice president for EMEA sales and marketing at tape storage vendor OnStream International. Spate also spent 11 years at IBM, managing the European disk drive distribution business.
