Prysmian Group Attending Submarine Networks World In Singapore
FOCUS ON THE MINISUB CABLE SYSTEM AND TURN-KEY SOLUTIONS
FOR THE TELECOM SUBMARINE CABLE SECTOR
Milan, - Prysmian Group, an energy and telecom cable systems provider, will showcase its range of products and services for the submarine telecoms industry developed by its business unit NSW at the 25th edition of Submarine Networks World, an annual submarine communications gathering, which will take place in Singapore on 7-8 September.
Submarine Networks World 2022 is particularly of interest following acts of war between Ukraine and Russia presenting the latest innovations to the customers both private, Government and the entire submarine telecommunication cable industry, not to mention Oil and Gas Pipelines.
The NSW plant in Nordenham, Germany has been manufacturing submarine cable since 1899 and makes advanced submarine cable products for both repeaterless and repeatered systems. The Group can therefore call on full expertise in submarine telecommunication connections and an extended ability to offer turnkey products and services including installation.
A special focus at Submarine Networks world 2022 will be dedicated to the high fiber count MINISUB 288 cable family, a rugged, compact fiber-optic repeaterless submarine cable with up to 288 fibres in a single central tube and multi-tube ultra-high fibre-count designs with up to 1728 fibres.
Prysmian Group executives will also highlight the NSW MINISUB® cable family, a rugged, compact fiber-optic repeatered submarine cable with unique features, such as high count of up to 48 powerful fibers, low conductor resistance of down to 0.6 Ω/km, installation in water depths up to 8,000 m and extraordinary operating voltage of 20 kV DC.
Prysmian Group’s Ashutosh Bhargava, Projects Submarine Telecom Director, will be among the featured speakers at the event. “Our return to the submarine communications sector in 2019 has seen our market share steadily increase over the past four years as more online content and faster internet speeds have led to increasing demand higher bandwidth and therefore for submarine communications cables,” said Ashutosh Bhargava. “The winning combination of our cables offering, and cutting-edge installation capabilities gives us a strong position in competing for turnkey projects.”
