New Appointment at Oracle leans towards the cloud
Oracle has appointed Ross Brown as vice president of its Cloud GTM division. Brown is the former VMware channel chief and this appointment points the company's recent efforts to improve its cloud infrastructure service.
In October last year, Don Johnson, executive vice president at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, issued a statement saying
"Our aggressive hiring and growth plans are mapped to meet the needs of our customers, providing them reliability, high performance, and robust security as they continue to move to the cloud,"
Oracle revealed plans to expand its cloud division by up to 2,000 new employees, with roles in software development and cloud operations
Brown joins Oracle from VMware where he held the position of senior vice president of VMware’s WW Partners and Alliances division, he was responsible for helping partners integrate the company’s technology into their services and solutions.
