In a change of career from the world of media to that of advanced IT software.  Emma Stewart will make the move and it should prove to be a seamless transition for anexperienced sales and marketing professional.

Emma has joined Cofficient, one of Scotland’s fastest growing providers of advanced IT software to a range of corporate customers throughout the UK, as Sales and Marketing Director.

After gaining a degree in English at the University of Glasgow, Emma held a series of increasingly senior roles in the marketing team at the Glasgow-based publishers the Carnyx Group, culminating with her appointment to Sales Director in 2007.

In 2010 she joined The Herald and Times Group in a senior management position within the advertising department where she ran the main classified sales categories of motors, recruitment and property. Emma was highly successful, both in leading and developing teams, as well as in the implementation of strategic objectives, operational and performance improvements.

She said: “I am very pleased to have been appointed Sales and Marketing Director at Cofficient, especially at a time when the business has wholly proven its credentials in the marketplace and is set to come close to breaching the £1 million turnover barrier in course of the current trading year.

“There are lots of new sales and marketing initiatives we are keen to develop as a business, both to reach out to the hundreds of companies we know we can help to become more profitable and to maintain the Cofficient brand at the forefront of our clients’ minds.”

Paul Tindal Director at Cofficient,  said: “Emma is a very welcome new member of the management team. Her background in the professional services market is exceptional and her contribution, I am sure, will enhance significantly our offering to the market.”
