Crystal Group a specialist American manufacturer of rugged commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) specialises in custom-developed computers, displays, switches, and storage devices, with carbon fibre and aircraft grade aluminum have announced that the company's RE0814 Rugged Embedded Computer has successfully completed and is compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 tests for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
The RE0814 was tested at MET Laboratories to EMC standards IEC 61850-3:2013 for emissions and immunity as well as IEEE 1613: 2009 Sections 5, 6, 7 and 8 for insulation, surge withstanding capability, radio frequency susceptibility and electrostatic discharge.
The RE0814 is a rugged embedded computer with no moving parts. The fanless computer is built of aircraft grade aluminum, running on an Intel Core i3 or a more powerful Core i7 processor options, it can support up to four solid state hard drives and can run on either a AC or DC power supply.
