7th International Trade Fair and Science Forum for Automatic Identification -

EURO ID will connect people, business and technology at the Messe Berlin trade fair grounds.

The leading European trade fair for automatic identification was able to welcome around 100 exhibitors and over 3,400 specialist trade fair visitors to this year's event in Cologne. EURO ID 2011 is a must for experts and decision-makers who want to keep well informed about the latest trends in the areas of RFID, sensor technology, 2D codes, biometrics, barcodes, secure identity and card systems.

The organisers of the trade fair have chosen Berlin as the location for this year's event.
Auto-ID elements play a major role in modern production control (e.g. Just in Sequence (JIS)), in Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) in intra- and extra-logistics and in the trading business. Methods like pick-by-voice systems in stock and order control are now being completed by automated validation of the production order by means of RFID tags. Especially for the management of products, containers, pallets and racks RFID provides a huge potential for the cost-effective use of circulating receptacles, reduces capital tie-up and enhances transparency in corporate financial reporting.
Moreover the use of RFID and the 2D code has been expanding systematically in electronic document management.

GC – Games Convention 2011
The eight  GC – Games Convention will take place at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre  GC was first held at Leipzig in August 2002 and since then, has become Europe’s leading fair for interactive entertainment, infotainment, edutainment and hardware. 
With 503 exhibitors from 46 countries (2006: 374 exhibitors from 24 countries) and 185,000 visitors (2006: 183,000), the fair achieved a record result in 2007 & 2008.
For the first time, the GC Business Centre will extend this year throughout the entire Congress Centre Leipzig (CCL), Hall 1 and part of Hall 2.
This means that a total of 35,000sq m (2006: 30,000sq m) will be available to exhibitors to set up contacts with the national and international trade, publishers, developers and representatives of the media.

IFA 2011, Berlin
More than 6,182 accredited journalists from 67 countries including more than 1.332 international media representatives visited IFA in 2010.
Beside national and international trade journals IFA reports appeared worldwide in 330 German dailies and 125 foreign newspapers.
A record attendance by 1,245 exhibitors from 63 countries and orders totalling 3  billion euros are proof that IFA is the world’s leading sales platform and the CE and Home Appliance industry’s number one venue for doing business.

IBC 2011
IBC2010 was undoubtedly a world class event. The second largest IBC of all time, the numbers alone are impressive. IBC2010 featured some 1,300 key international suppliers from around the world – 250 that were at the show for the first time – exhibiting in around 100,000 square meters spread around thirteen halls at the RAI (to accommodate OB trucks, satellite links and other large-scale products there were 22 presentations in the outside exhibits area too). And, of course, over 48,500 attendees were at the show to witness it all.
Business, as could be heard from anecdotal evidence and seen daily in the pages of the IBC Daily News or on the IBC TV News broadcasts, was brisk too, with many deals and sales struck on the showfloor. This year, IBC expanded into a thirteenth hall to accommodate demand, and the organisation also established the Connected World, dedicating a hall specifically to the IP-driven platforms of IPTV, Mobile TV and Digital Signage that are doing to much to extend the broadcast market into both new screens and new times. The Connected World was supported by the excellent Business Briefings and Armchair Revolution sessions that sought to explain and annotate the new technology; while elsewhere the continuing success of the IBC Big Screen with its high-profile free movie screenings such as Toy Story 3* and Avatar (Special Edition)**, not to mention demonstrations of innovative technology such as NHK’s astonishing-looking Super Hi-Vision, all helped add to the energy and success of the show.

  A Trade Fair for software, infrastructure and IT services - is being held for the third time and has firmly established as in the exhibition calendar. For the second time at the same time for IT & Business is the DMS EXPO - and Focus reseler Fair.
In the past the concept was a success: With 61% first-time visitors to the DMS EXPO and 22% of visitors from the industrial sectors that are strongly represented in Baden-Württemberg the visitor structure speaks for itself.
